The Hāwera Water Tower dominates the urban landscape and provides a central landmark and navigation point for visitors to the town.
Built in 1914, the now iconic Water Tower in Hāwera was a defence against fires which had ravaged the town.
Climb the 215-step tower to see spectacular views over the town and surrounding district. The tower is currently closed to the public.
