Taranaki Scholarships Portal
The Taranaki Scholarships portal is designed to streamline access to Taranaki-based scholarships. It was created by a partnership of Bishop’s Action Foundation,
Paraninihi Ki Waitōtara Incorporation, and Te Karaka Foundation (now Taranaki Foundation). Since its inception, the Bashford-Nicholls Trust, Ngā Ruahine, Taranaki Iwi, and Ngāti Mutunga have also joined the portal partnership.
WITT Scholarships Page
WITT also offers scholarships to support their students. The page includes both WITT administered scholarships, tips for funding scholarships, links to national scholarships and other scholarships databases.
LA Alexander Trust
Ranging from teaching scholarships to post-graduate scholarships, the L.A. Alexander Scholarships are available to students studying subjects relating to our primary industries, including agriculture, horticulture, and veterinary programmes.
Energy Skills is a collaboration from the energy sector. They offer scholarships at
Local tertiary providers WITT and the Pacific International Hotel Management School have many courses that offer internships as part of their training.
Many Taranaki companies, government departments and local councils offer internships over summer. It is worth contacting places where you are interested in working to see what options there may be. This site has Taranaki listings and includes some student case studies, and videos so you can get an idea of what to expect.
