Step back in time and walk in the footsteps of our pioneers from the 1850s to the 1950s. Experience their daily hardships and discover how their resilience shaped the way we live today.

The largest of its type in New Zealand with over 40 original buildings, including many authentic structures on a 4.05 hectare site. Almost everything is covered from township to country. Inside the buildings are artifacts of the pioneering era. Enjoy mountain views, a family picnic or on-site cafe & feeding the animals. Stratford Hospital Museum within displays comprehensive hospital memorabilia & equipment. Several interactive displays will keep the children entertained. Loved by everyone. The "Pioneer Express" will take you on 2 fun circuits of the Village. Every second Sunday of the month craftsmen operate.
