Viv Davy draws on her lifelong experience in the textile and fibre arts world to bring an exciting range of artists specialising in these field into the gallery as exhibitors. Many of them take time to do Artist Residencies on site where they can explore the studio and making spaces of ‘from out of the blue studio gallery’.
Every six weeks there is a new exhibition and new expressions are on display. These range across weaving, stitching, harakeke art, paper making, botanical dyeing, and basketry. Housed in the studio space is a 70 harness Swedish drawloom that visiting weavers and Viv use for creating damask fabrics.
