Role Description
At Zeal, we’re all about giving our lives for young people. And we're looking for someone to join our team in Taranaki, an epic Venue Coordinator!
You will be responsible for coordinating venue management duties including venue maintenance, event hire and administration and act as a support to the Zeal Taranaki Manager and to the operation of that centre.
In all this, you will keep the care and experience of Taranaki young people at heart, building genuine relationships that affect and change you personally. We love our young people. And we expect you to love them as well.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate general venue operations and upkeep of the centre
Coordinate venue bookings and hireage
Coordinate building & equipment maintenance
Ensuring Venue Health & Safety policies and procedures are upheld
Lead centre administration including banking & cash handling, supporting manager with dealing with invoices, receipts and timesheets, coordinating staff reimbursements, coordinating mailing and couriering and more
Coordinate cleaning and purchase of products
Managing centre email address
Any other specific venue coordination related tasks that you may be required to do
Skills and experience
Strong administrative and computer skills
Task-focused and able to complete work to a tight schedule
Ability to self-lead and take initiative
A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service orientation
Able to make administrative decisions based on a broad understanding of relevant policies or operational requirements.
Familiarity with Asana would be useful
A passion to use coordination and venue management skills to support the development of young people.
