Mō te tūranga - About the role

Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Ope Whakaora ki New Plymouth Corps.

We are looking for a self-motivated Business Manager to manage the business and operational function of three local centres across Taranaki. You will need a kete of diverse approaches to problem solve, strategically plan, and action decisions based on property, fleet, finance, HR, ICT and most importantly support our mission of caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society.

Key tasks

Mōu ake - About you:

Qualification by experience or tertiary qualification in business administration
Minimum of five years' experience in business management or similar
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential
Proven ability in people management
Proven leadership and team building competencies
Confidence in building relationships with community stakeholders and corporate partnerships
Event planning, fundraising, and local marketing skills would be desirable
Understanding of, respect for, and ability to work with The Salvation Army's mission, principles, and Christian ethos
Clean full driver's licence
Ability to travel, including overnight will be required
Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand

Hours of work: This is a permanent position for a total of 37.5 hours per week

The starting hourly rate will range between $35.93 - $41.77 dependant on experience.
