We are looking for casual, part-time and full-time Support Workers to help the people we support in our residential services located in New Plymouth.

What does a Support Worker do? - He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi Tautoko

In Residential disability, our support workers assist people who access our services to live as independently as possible, in their community. Support workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 cover with responsibilities including aiding with personal care, community outings and integration, and other aspects of daily living - enabling our people to be as independent as possible.

What are we looking for? - He aha ta tatou e rapu ana:

Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends
Flexibility to work in different services within the New Plymouth region
Prior experience supporting others with aspects of daily living, preferably those living with intellectual or physical disabilities
Full driver's licence and confidence to safely transport passengers in our disability vans (training provided)
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
