Fugro is seeking a Subsea Engineer to join Fugro’s New Zealand team. Working in the traditional energy sector and new green developments; Fugro are seeking an enthusiastic individual. The Subsea Engineer will work in Fugro’s Marine Asset Integrity service line and will dual report to the Pacific Project Manager and New Zealand Country Manager.



You will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Provides technical and engineering support and guidance to offshore or on-site teams
Undertakes responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support, design calculations, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various third party submissions
Manages the design, procurement, fabrication, shipment and installation of assets, associated subsea infrastructure and equipment on the seabed
Manages the installation of the pipelines joining the subsea infrastructure to the production installation
Manages all subsea work scopes related to a production installation, including the management of contractors/suppliers for the work scope
Produces budgets and plans for specific studies or modifications and manages the cost control and reporting process
Prepares regular progress reports
Reports any breaches of safety procedures to supervision / management
Actively participates in and promotes company health and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times
Proposal & Commercial Support to Pacific Commercial team.
Local Project support
Other duties as required commensurate with the position and your experience.
Your success in securing this role will require:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Good analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Good knowledge of MS Office
Able and willing to travel, and work offshore
Responsible, hardworking and able to work and think independently
New Zealand Driver’s License
New Zealand work rights
