Social Worker
Do you believe all women and children have the right to live free from Domestic Violence? Are you a passionate Social Worker ready to work in a challenging and highly rewarding role? Would you like to be part of a close team committed to change in our community?
We are searching for a Superstar Social Worker. Is this you?!
YOU WILL HAVE:
Current Social Work Registration (or be working towards it)
A solid understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence (does not need to be experiential)
Passion for the well-being and safety of women and their children
An understanding of Taranaki Tikanga along with Te Tiriti
An ability to effectively manage your time and workload within fluid and conflicting timeframes.
The ability to excel both within a team environment and work autonomously.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Software
Excellent communication and people skills
Commitment to providing best practice.
Common sense, resilience, compassion and resourcefulness
A full driver’s license.
A sense of humour!
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
A full-time permanent position 8.30am-5pm weekdays
A supportive team environment

Regular internal and external supervision
Daily networking and collaboration with external agencies
To provide support, advocacy, advice, intensive counselling, facilitation of groups and education to women
To support women in the community and within the confidential Safe House
