We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer who is innovative, wants to achieve and grow as an engineer. This is the chance for you to begin an exciting journey with BTW Company as a Senior Structural Engineer based in our New Plymouth office.
Our structural team is primarily a design team, undertaking new build and modification of existing structures.
Ideally this role is a full-time position however depending on the right candidate we are open to it being a part time role so you can enjoy a great work life balance in Taranaki. The role is ideally suited to someone with a high level of autonomy and includes work on residential and commercial buildings, with some occasional industrial design.
You will become a core part of the overall team and will feel that your contribution makes a tangible difference.
As a Senior Structural Engineer you will need:
A Washington accord degree equivalent in Civil Engineering
Full membership of Charted Professional Engineer (CPEng) or the ability to gain it and be a member of Engineering NZ.
In excess of 10 years’ experience post degree related to Civil engineering – with a significant amount gained in New Zealand.
Strong knowledge of structural engineering including seismic assessment and design.
Experience and capability in client interaction and client management
Experience in overseeing projects and undertaking technical site observation.
The ability to develop and sustain strong relationships with staff, customers, and contractors.
To be motivated, professional, cooperative, and responsive to the needs of the team and clients.
