About the role:

DataTalk are a dynamic team of 13, dedicated to delivering expertise, knowledge, and tailored solutions to their clients. We are currently in search of a Security Manager who embodies these values. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with outstanding interpersonal abilities and a talent for cultivating new business prospects while maintaining existing client relationships. As part of the DataTalk team, you will collaborate with highly skilled security engineers and will engage with corporate clients across various sectors, including Local Government, Hospitals, Airports, and Petrochemical industries, as well as:

Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and potential customers
Demonstrate products/services and assist in selecting those best suited to the customers' needs
Maintain positive relationships with customers and any prospects
Provide completion documentation, quotes and proposals to clients
Design and maintain security schematics and documentation
Complete project invoicing and supervise the security team
Manage vendor relationships and assist with installations as needed
Order materials and organise daily work schedules
Maintain and train on the latest security technologies and regulations
Coordinate projects, ensure quality workmanship, manage the budget and ensure the customer is satisfied

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday in New Plymouth.

The ideal Security Manager:

Experience in Sales, Account Management, Business Development and/or Project Management desirable
Previous experience in Electrical IT or Security experience desirable
Knowledge of the below systems advantageous:
Gallagher Access Control Systems
Milestone Video Management Systems (VMS)
CCTV / Network Security Camera Systems
Security Alarm Systems
The ability to build strong relationships
Enjoys a varied role
Technically minded and a keen problem solver
Proven ability to liaise effectively and professionally with a varied client base
A people person with solid interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a close knit, diverse team
A great sense of humour!
