Hours of work: 30 hours per week, Fixed Term - 7 months (parental leave cover)

About the Role

Gain valuable experience in person-centred care, and enhance your critical thinking skills. Complete patient assessments and care plans. Provide exceptional care, while evaluating outcomes for residents and their families. Monitor changes to residents’ conditions and behaviours. Administer medicines, and assist residents with daily activities.

Duties include:

Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents
Educate and direct peers about possible side-effects of medicines
Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency
Wound management
Reassuring and educating residents’ families

Skills and Experience:

Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
Computer literacy with concise reporting skills
People skills + empathy for our residents and their families
Flexibility to work rostered shifts
1+ years of experience as a registered nurse in NZ preferred but not essential – new graduates welcome
