The Taranaki Secondary Schools’ Sports Association (TSSSA) is seeking an exceptional Regional Events Coordinator to join their team.
The position is offered on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be required for 40hrs p/w. Salary between $50,000-$55,000. This can be negotiated for a suitable candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, organisation, delivery, development and review of over 48 secondary school and regional sports events each year as part of one of the most successful secondary school event programs in the country. This role could suit a sport and recreational graduate.
The suitable candidate has the following skills:
Able to exhibit outstanding event management skills
The ability to form strong relationships with key stakeholders, and show a passion for the development and promotion of sport.
Ability to relate to secondary school students and work alongside the regional sports organisations.
Assist with student sports leadership and initiatives.
Able to provide clear communication about events and competitions through social media platforms and the TSSSA website.
Knowledge and understanding of creating entry forms, draws and results (training provided).
