About Eltham Vets
Eltham Vets is a mixed practice vet clinic with 20 staff, situated in central Taranaki. We have a passionate team of vets, looking after all of our clients' animals, both large and small.
Eltham Veterinary Services is seeking a friendly, reliable, and organised Full-Time Receptionist to join our dedicated team in a busy, mixed animal veterinary practice.
This role offers a great mix of general office administration and frontline client care, perfect for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
Answer phones, manage appointments, and coordinate scheduling for production, companion, and equine vets
Process payments, invoicing, and general admin duties
Provide support to vets and nurses with day-to-day clinic operations
What We’re Looking For:
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and time management
Confidence with computers and learning new systems
A calm, compassionate manner – especially in high-pressure situations
Previous experience in a vet clinic or medical reception is an advantage, but not essential
