The Business:
We are a growing food manufacturing business based in Bell Block, New Plymouth.

The Role:

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be a key member of our Production Team. The Production Team leader manages the shift team and processes to drive productivity, food safety, quality and ensures the team follows sit procedures and instructions. The role is a permanent full time role, on a 4 on 4 off shift structure, with 12 hours per shift (40.25 hours per week on average).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the role are:

Motivate team to enhance productivity and maintain quality standards.
Monitor completion of tasks to achieve daily targets.
Maintain Site Safety, Good Manufacturing practices and quality procedures.
Provide product and technical expertise to team, respond and support solving operator queries.
Develop team members through achieving goals, conducting performance reviews, providing coaching and feedback.
Ensure adequate resources are available to achieve capacity targets.
Monitor change over and set up efficiency.
Ensure all production records are checked and verified.
Follow up corrective actions.
Communicate and collaborate with Maintenance department to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
Eligibility and skillset for this role:

At least three years' experience in a similar role
Experience in leading small groups, including developing multi-skilled team members.
Ability to lead by example, delegate and work collaboratively.
Experience within an automated production process.
Ability to multi-task, plan, analyse and challenge.
Strong organisational, time management and problem solving skills.
Strong written and communication skills.
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
Be legally permitted to work in NZ.
