About the opportunity

As a Plant Manager at our Whareroa Site in Hawera, you will lead three busy production plants and be accountable for inspiring a team to deliver world class manufacturing performance in powders and casein products for our key customers across the globe.

As an integral part of the Site Leadership team, you will work collaboratively to add value by implementing the Site’s strategic plans. You will coach and develop your team to achieve excellence in health and safety, food safety and quality, employee engagement, asset management, continuous improvement, sustainability, and customer service.

If you are an inspirational leader with the ability to provide innovative solutions in a busy and complex manufacturing environment, have a natural ability to build high performing teams, can influence diverse groups of stakeholders and build and strengthen relationships, then this role is for you!

Key to your success will be:

Leading and engaging diverse teams
Technical understanding across manufacturing production processes, ideally in the dairy industry
The ability to make recommendations, solve problems and develop team capabilities
Resilience and ability to influence, explaining the how, what, and why
Experience in managing losses, yields and waste with operational performance improvement focus
Strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills
