InterGroup are New Zealand's Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists, delivering services in waste management, industrial services, coatings, and infrastructure. More about the role

The main focus of your role will be working within a team of high skilled fabric maintenance technician's. Who are responsible for the surface preparation and coating application to corrosion and coating breakdown.

Methods of surface preparation range from Powertool Cleaning, Blasting and Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting UHP up to 40,000 psi.

Working on a wide range of scope from Pipe Racks, Structures, Tanks, Engine Room, Bilges and Heli Decks to name a few.

Other scope involved will be Tank Cleaning, Safety Watch and assisting with other Trades.

We have a large Team of IRATA Rope Access Technicians and Supervisors, as we deliver a lot of our work using Rope Access.

You will be working on 3 weeks on 3 weeks off Rotation.

Intergroup currently hold contacts on the working on the FPSO Raroa or the Well Head Platform, Maui A & B Platforms, Beach Energy.

Are you the right fit?

You'll be a character who's always wanting to learn and grow your voice matters here, and you'll be empowered to make decisions, not just take directions. We're hoping you'll be a team-player and ready to join our awesome team who look after each other and have each other's backs. previous experience in marine industry is not a pre-requisite; we are willing to train the right person. This role will require the person to travel offshore and hence a BOSIET license would be ideal, we will support with obtaining this.

The technical stuff you'll need includes:

Minimum 5 years' experience using abrasive blasting, spray-painting. using high pressure water blasting.

The ability to apply a vast range of protective coatings to specification.

Rope tickets (not mandatory)

Proven knowledge and training of health and safety in the industrial environment

A high-level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a confined space.

Ideally you will have proven experience in the Offshore or Commerical marine environment, however for the right candidate this is not required.
