About the role
This is a great role for an industrial or commercial electrician who is ready for that next step. The main focus of this role is the maintenance of plant machinery, equipment and services. You will be a key part of the Electrical Maintenance Team efficiently carrying out repairs and diagnosing faults on machinery including variable speed drives, AC and DC motors, control Systems, HV equipment as well as first line servicing of PLC and electronic systems and calibration of instruments. You will also be required to be part of an on-call roster from Monday to Sunday in a four - week cycle.
About you
One of the key criteria for this role is your ability to fit in well with the current team and staff and have the willingness to pitch in when required to assist others. Along with this you will need the following skills and attributes:
Be a NZ registered Electrician, who is trade certified with a current practising licence.
Three years proven experience working in an industrial or commercial environment (preferred)
A strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work at heights
Good technical skills including MS Office skills, particularly with Excel
A sound understanding of health and safety systems and processes
Understand the importance of quality control and record keeping
A clean New Zealand Class 1 drivers' licence
