About the role

We are currently seeking a Logistics Manager to manage and oversee all Warehousing and Transport activities for our New Plymouth & Fielding Distribution Centre and offsite storage facilities.

If you are an accomplished logistics professional who can add value by helping us streamline and improve our operations which will keep our customers happy, this is a great opportunity and challenge to utilise your experience and show us how we can do things better.

In this demanding yet fulfilling position, you will oversee more than 65 employees so your leadership skills and ability to motivate, inspire and lead from the front would be crucial to your success in this role. If you think you've got what it takes to work in a complex environment with a large and diverse team of people, we want to hear from you. Its a fulltime permanent role (40 hours/week).

A day in the life of the role:

Maximising transport resources effectively and efficiently including truck planning.

Optimising warehouse layouts and stock profiling.

Implementing improvements to systems, workflows, processes, and scheduling.

Exercising strict expenditure management.

Controlling and managing Fresh and Frozen Inventory.

Maximising labour resources and controlling labour costs.

Consider budgetary constraints and manage costs effectively.

What will you bring?

Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Warehouse/Logistics management.

In-depth knowledge of food industry systems and standards.

Familiarity with MAF requirements, particularly e-cert documentation.

Thorough understanding of stock/inventory control systems.

Experience with transport networks and warehouse management systems.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
