Sport Taranaki has a fulltime vacancy and exciting opportunity for a critical thinker with extensive knowledge and experience in the primary school education sector.
As the Healthy Active Learning Lead, you will be the person who spearheads the philosophies and principles of ‘Healthy Active Learning’ in the Taranaki Region.
Healthy Active Learning is a wellbeing initiative between Sport NZ, and the Ministries of Education and Health, which involves this role to create a cohesive and collaborative activity plan that is in line with the schools values, strengths and ideals.
The Healthy Active Learning Lead will need to have exceptional leadership qualities and behaviours e.g. strategic thinking, relationship building, social/ emotional intelligence, inclusivity and diversity.
This role is the start of a new programme within Sport Taranaki which will require building a team of advisors and community connectors (to be appointed) and supporting them to co-design methods to deliver the plan across the selected schools throughout Taranaki. This role also has the responsibility to support the development of a regional stakeholder steering group.
