As we continue to grow our global impact, we’re looking for a strategic and performance-driven Head of Marketing to lead our customer acquisition functions from our fun and collaborative HQ in New Plymouth.

The Opportunity

As Head of Marketing, you’ll lead the strategic direction and execution of our marketing function across both IVHQ and Intern Abroad HQ. You'll drive growth, optimise performance and enhance the global presence of our purpose-driven brands.

This role is ideal for an experienced digital marketing leader who blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, has deep expertise in data-driven decision-making and thrives on delivering high-impact marketing initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Planning & Execution: Own the global marketing strategy across our brands, aligning with business goals and growth targets.

Full-Funnel Performance Marketing: Lead across all digital channels with a focus on Paid Search, SEO, GEO, Social, Content, Email (newsletters and automated flows), Influencer, Affiliate and Referral.

Lead & Grow the Team: Manage and mentor a high-performing marketing team. Set clear goals, define workflows and foster a culture of ownership, creativity and accountability.

Brand Management: Define and manage brand positioning, visual identity and messaging to ensure clarity and consistency across all touchpoints.

AI Leadership: Champion the use of automation and AI to streamline execution, personalise customer journeys and drive efficiency.

Website & UX: Optimise websites to improve user experience, increase conversion rates and enhance SEO/GEO performance.

Campaign Management & Analytics: Lead end-to-end campaign delivery, from concept to performance review.

Cost Control & ROI Optimisation: Manage a significant marketing budget, focusing on performance and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our Tech, Customer Support and Campus Relations teams to align marketing efforts with broader business initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

Experience in a leadership role with responsibility for strategy, team leadership and budget ownership.

Experience in digital marketing, and a proven track record in performance marketing, digital campaign execution and growth-focused strategy.

Deep expertise in GA4, Google Ads, SEMrush, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and email marketing platforms.

Hands-on skillset - you're as comfortable building an email flow or campaign dashboard as you are collaborating with senior leadership.

Proficiency in AI and marketing automation, using emerging tools to innovate and optimise.

Demonstrated experience in brand development, with the ability to balance creative vision with commercial outcomes.

Strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills.

Genuine interest in travel, global education and social impact.

Positive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach to work.
