We are a leading energy company operating natural gas fields in Taranaki. With our joint ventures, Todd is a major New Zealand gas producer responsible for generating 50% of the country‘s hydrocarbon energy production.
Our Graduate Programme
Our three-year programme is designed to provide Engineering Graduates with a broad understanding of all facets of our industry and company and who are then able to move into an engineering role and hone skills in that area. This is achieved by a rotational programme through our business areas, giving an end-to-end view of the key Todd Energy engineering activities and providing the opportunity to work alongside experts in the field on new and exciting projects.
Through our programme you will have the opportunity for professional and personal development including support for ongoing study, courses, on-the-job training with both office and field experience and mentoring and support from industry professionals.

Suitable applicants must be studying towards a Mechatronics / Electronics / Software or similar Engineering degree or have very recently graduated. A strong interest in rotating equipment such as compressors and equipment control would be advantageous. This role has a heavy industry focus, with big equipment and large capital projects, but also for huge potential for value creation through improved efficiency and better process control. Todd is a growing company with lots of opportunity to grow and develop. The role would suit a team player and excellent communicator.
Building on the broad foundation you have gained through study; you will also need to demonstrate the following:
Ability to interface well with colleagues, contractors and facilitate a positive, proactive and planned environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Motivated, self-starting, independent individual with high level of initiative and attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills
Understanding of HSE principles
Sound computer literacy
Current entitlement to work in New Zealand
Our Location
Our McKee Mangahewa and Kapuni Production Stations, along with our Kapuni Gas Treatment Plant are a short drive out of the city from our head office based in New Plymouth.
