ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a well-versed Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the team at our Kapuni Ammonia/Urea Manufacturing site, located in the beautiful Taranaki region. Reporting through to the Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will provide and support the following:
Ongoing plant support in a timely and efficient manner.
Assistance in maintaining pressure equipment, piping and welding in-house specifications
Mechanical Engineering Support to the Maintenance and Operations teams
Mechanical Engineering support to replacement Projects in line with expected standards and codes of practice.
Technical experience in Pressure Equipment and Piping design
The role provides lots of opportunity for independence and ownership of role but with the support of an experienced team to provide direction and the ability to develop and grow into the role.
ABOUT YOU
You will bring to the role:
Diploma in Engineering or Engineering Technology. BEng or BSc Mechanical Engineering (Technology) Degree is preferred.
An understanding of the site infrastructure and plant running is a must
An awareness and understanding of the corrosion and damage mechanisms in Ammonia and Urea service
An ability to work with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure ongoing plant operation within NZ standards and codes of practice.
You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A team player, able to work with multiple different teams and disciplines
A pro-active approach to solution generation and continuous improvement
