Mo te tunga - About the role
This permanent, full-time role provides geospatial services and support to our Environmental Quality teams (Science and Technology, Land and Water, Environmental Assurance, and Environmental Data)
As one of our onsite GIS Specialists you will visualise, question, analyse and interpret data to understand relationships, patterns and trends for the organisation, as well as design, develop and implement modify systems and databases to access and store geospatial data. The overall goal is to ensure customers have the right GIS services they need to achieve great outcomes for the Taranaki region.
Mou - About you
We like to set people up for success so you'll be a leading applicant if you have:
- A growth mind set
- A strong customer relationship focus, and well-rounded interpersonal skills
- A tertiary qualification in GIS or a field that is relevant to the specialisation of this role is required or study towards a qualification
- At least three years experience working in GIS, preferably within a large, complex environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of ESRI suite of products, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
- Working knowledge of Python, SQL or FME
- Have technical and practical proficiency and competency relevant to this roles specialisation
