Position Overview:

Your work with the Parihaka Papakāinga Trust (Trust) revolves around providing a full range of funding related services to support the day-to-day operations and Governance of the Trust and its key projects that emerge from the Parihaka Development Plan.

The Trust is guided by its principles as outlined in Ngā Tikanga and is committed to ensuring that the Trust’s approach to funding its prioritised workstreams:

Aligns to values and principles of the Trust
Is transparent with conflicts of interest
Fosters positive working relationships with funders;
Is front-footed and proactive where ever practical; and
Upholds the reputation of Parihaka.
The need for a Funding Coordinator is driven from two key documents being the Parihaka Development Plan, which outlines the prioritised workstreams, and the Capability Plan, which outlines the resourcing required to achieve the workstreams.

As the Funding Coordinator, you will be responsible for securing external funding and support for the prioritised workstreams, which include but are not limited to:

Healing and Reconciliation
Parihaka Narrative
Housing and Infrastructure
Parihaka Education/Curriculum
Parihaka Visitor Facility (Te Whare)
The Trust requires external funding support to fund the entirety of the workstreams outlined in the Parihaka Development Plan including the Parihaka Visitor Facility. It is expected that the Funding Coordinator will develop a funding strategy and funding calendar to guide the application for funds and to develop positive working relationships with funding and philanthropic organisations.

As with all of the Trust’s personnel, you play an important role in contributing to the Trust achieving its strategic priorities.



Terms:

Term of Contract: This is a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months with a review period before contract end date

Remuneration: Remuneration will be in accordance with qualifications and experience.

Hours of Work: 30 hours per week (some evening and weekend work required)

Work Location: The work location will vary between two locations;
