As a Field Service Engineer..
You will be working autonomously and be the customer's first point of contact with Atlas Copco and an ambassador for our brand. Working as part of the North Island Team you will be responsible for service work in the with your nearest branch/workshop in New Plymouth.
You are confident in your mechanical abilities, comfortable talking to customers but most of all you like taking ownership of your role and provide exceptional service to "your" customers.
This role is supported by an awesome bunch of technicians spread across the region from Wellington to Auckland and in between. We have Aftermarket and Equipment Sales Engineers who you will work closely with and you will be supported by the Regional Operations Manager and a Service Coordinator.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The main responsibility of the role is to undertake routine service, breakdowns, fault finding, and undertaking major overhauls on our customer's Compressed air equipment.
The role will involve travel to customer's sites as well as some workshop-based work. Travel within and sometimes out of your region will be required.
Skills and experience
A strong focus towards excellent customer service, computer literacy, the ability to complete service reports and a high level of communication are important attributes for this position.
Essentials skills/experience
Mechanical trade qualifications
Proven ability to work independently as a part of a widely spread team
Excellent Customer Service skills
Clean valid driving license
Extensive Mechanical/Diagnosis experience
Good computer literacy for time and service reporting
The ability to be on call and travel to site
The right to work in NZ – relevant visas
Desirable skills/experience
Previous experience in a field service role
Compressor maintenance experience
