We are looking for a talented and dynamic Executive Director with proven leadership experience.
Reporting to the board, this is a strategic role that comes at a milestone time for this motivated charitable trust. The Mentoring Foundation works in partnership with a range of regional and national stakeholders, dedicated to supporting leaders in their roles throughout Aotearoa.

It's an outstanding opportunity to bring your honed relationship management and organisational skills, passion for mentoring and love of the community sector together.

MF does not have a physical office, this is a work-from-home position. Ideally you will be located in either Taranaki or Auckland but we welcome applications from candidates outside these regions.

There is scope for the role to be between 30-40 hours per week depending on the applicant’s situation and expertise. This position gives the successful applicant flexibility in the structure of their working week and a direction to bring fresh, innovative thinking to the organisation.

The successful candidate will be:

An entrepreneurial thinker with strong leadership skills.
Passionate about mentoring and leadership development.
Able to develop and manage effective relationships and partnerships within the community sector.
Familiar with the not-for-profit ​​funding landscape within Aotearoa and have a proven ability to secure strategic funding.
An effective communicator.
Good at project planning, marketing, and financial management with an understanding of evaluation.


Mentoring Foundation of New Zealand
The Mentoring Foundation builds the capability and resilience of the community sector by helping leaders with professional development through connection with experienced mentors. Mentoring helps leaders become more effective, more confident and better-connected to a wider network.

Within this role we work in partnership or through collaboration with a range of regional and national stakeholders. The Foundation has a proven mentoring model with programmes operating in five regions around NZ. We are entering a period of significant growth in 2022. This appointment is to manage our existing relationships while continuing to grow the potential for the trust.
