The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery - Len Lye Centre is seeking a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our Cultural Experiences team as a casual Customer Services Officer. This role offers flexible hours across weekdays, weekends and public holidays, and may include shifts at short notice - perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to be part of something inspiring while maintaining a flexible schedule.
Key responsibilities - Ngā haepapa matua
This includes the following:
Be active in the art environment helping visitors with information about the gallery, exhibitions, events, cinema, art and artists, as well as providing local and regional information
Assist in driving retail sales and activities at the Govett-Brewster Shop
Ensure that gallery reception and information services including systems meet visitor requirements
Clearly communicate information with a wide range of people and personalities
Deliver exceptional customer service and hospitality at Govett-Brewster events, including public programmes, fundraising, stakeholder and gallery events
Essential skills and experience - Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
This includes the following:
Prior customer service experience in a retail/gallery environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work with ticketing and booking systems
Knowledge of Te Reo Māori an advantage
