About the role

The key responsibilities of this role is to provide technical guidance, oversite and governance of the Compliance and Assurance programmes to the OnGas teams, ensuring that the risk to Vector, it's customers and the public is managed appropriately in line with industry best practice.

You will be leading the compliance and assurance team in the day to day operations ensuring the application of best practice systems, record keeping and drawing/document management to achieve compliance and auditing across the gas trading business and various regulations.

Who we are looking for

You will hold a tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline and have deeply proven leadership capabilities. You will bring your previous experience in a petrochemical or similar high-risk industry along with:

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
You will have experience in Hazardous substances, PECPR or Hazardous area compliance
Proven leadership qualities
Strong customer focus
General engineering knowledge
Expectation management from external customer and stakeholder. Multitude of priorities
It goes without saying that you'll have fantastic communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to build relationships with the team, management, contractors and customers. We need someone who is adaptable, has good time management, and enjoys responsibility and making things happen.
