This is a rare opportunity to join our high performing Communications and Marketing Team on a fixed-term basis as a Communications and Marketing Adviser.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 30 June 2024.
Are you a dynamic and skilled communicator with a passion for strategic marketing? Venture Taranaki is seeking a talented individual to join our Destination team which includes the Communications and Marketing, as well as Visitor and Tourism functions as a Communications and Marketing Adviser.
Venture Taranaki is at the forefront of economic development and investment initiatives, and our Communications and Marketing function plays a pivotal role in driving our strategies across various channels. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the success of Venture Taranaki and the region by providing smart and sustainable communications support.
As the Communications and Marketing Adviser, your focus will be on planning and executing a diverse range of communications and marketing promotion activities. Specifically, you will be instrumental in meeting the communication and marketing needs of the Economic Development and Investment team functions, with an emphasis on delivering communications support across energy and food and fibre strategic project areas, including the long-term strategic project ‘Branching Out’..
You will have had previous experience developing and implementing strategic communications and marketing plans, with proven experience seeing campaigns and comms and marketing initiatives from development through to delivery and measurement, and reporting.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako/ Skills and experience
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing or Communications preferred
• Previous experience working in a specialist communication and/or marketing role, ideally 3+ years
• A track-record of developing and delivering communications and marketing activity to an agreed strategic comms plan
• Adept written communications and copywriting abilities across diverse channels
• A sound knowledge of comms and media tools, including an understanding of and previous experience using social media, EDM systems, and marketing automation tools.
• The ability to develop comms and marketing plans and strategies.
• The ability to use initiative and sound judgment in decision-making process
• The ability to juggle and manage multiple priorities in a busy, fast-paced, and deadline-driven workplace while maintaining your cool
• Commitment to your ongoing professional growth and development, and a growth mindset.
