Talkingpoint New Plymouth is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team base in New Plymouth. You will be joining a team of clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapist and a rehab coach working with a wide range of clients who privately refer or come via ACC.

Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

We are currently seeking a skilled and Clinical Psychologist to join our team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing a range of clinical psychological services to clients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and counseling. You will also be a point of contact for the other team members for clinical support. The position allows for flexible working conditions.

Responsibilities:

Conducting psychological assessments and developing treatment plans
Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all client interactions
Consulting with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients
Contributing to the development of new treatment protocols and interventions
Providing education and training to other healthcare professionals and the community on mental health and psychological issues
Supervision of other psychologists
Requirements:

Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or PGDIPCLIN PSYCH (or equivalent)
Registration with a professional body (e.g., Psychological Society, College of Clinical Psychology or Institute of Clinical Psychology)
Practicing Certificate as a Clinical Psychologist
Strong knowledge of psychological theories, principles, and evidence-based practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a psychology team
Experience working with diverse populations and a range of mental health disorders
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
