We are looking for a special person to join our team of Careerforce Apprenticeship Advisors, working in the aged care, mental health, brain injury, disability and youth sectors. This role offers lots of variety – and no two days are the same.

Careerforce is the Transitional Industry Training Organisation (TITO) for the health, aged care, disability, mental health, social services, cleaning and pest management sectors. Our purpose is to enable the workforce to enhance people’s health and wellbeing.

Where will you be based?
Careerforce operates offices across New Zealand and supports a team of remote employees. As such some travel will be required, along with some overnight stays.
What’s Involved?
Assessing the Careerforce level 4 apprenticeship programmes.
Providing solutions to support the timely completion of apprenticeships.
Facilitating communities of apprentices.
Providing pastoral care and support to apprentices.
Working with workplaces to increase the uptake of apprenticeships.
Networking across the sectors that Careerforce supports.
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
Has a passion for supporting people to succeed in the health and wellbeing sectors.
Can establish credibility and maintain effective relationships from experience managing a portfolio of clients. This will be pivotal to their success in this role.
Has the ability to create new and strengthen existing partnerships with diverse stakeholders within the community.
Has proven experience working and interacting effectively with people at all levels in varied work environments, and from a range of community groups.
Can effectively prioritise their workload and work autonomously to meet targets.
Can work effectively within a distributed team environment.
You will also need to demonstrate the following:
Extensive and recent experience in one or more of the following sectors is essential: health, aged care, disability, mental health or social services.
A working understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.
A NZQA 4098 unit standard certification and relevant assessment experience.
A minimum qualification in the health and wellbeing sector at level 4 is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with CRM and LMS systems.
A clean, full New Zealand Driver Licence.
