Vanguard 86 is a New Plymouth-based HubSpot digital marketing agency specialising in inbound marketing. We work with businesses throughout New Zealand and Australia, helping them to create consistent data-driven content marketing campaigns focused on achieving their sales goals.

Particulars:

37.5 hours a week

Office-based or remote

Full-time fixed-term (12 months) position

MacBook device provided if needed

4 hours of paid training per month

Flexi-time available



Candidate
The ideal person for this role will have a passion for marketing that achieves results. Working with family-run businesses across New Zealand and Australia your clients will be seeking business growth through your marketing efforts. You will be detail-oriented, personable, and driven to achieve results for our clients.

You will be excited about getting under the skin of businesses that are unsung success stories in their own right and helping to share what makes them special. Their success is a fundamental metric of our work.

Each month you will deliver a planned scope of activities, field client questions, and advocate for work that will make a difference to their business. You'll want to know what's working and replicate this to deliver long-term success. If something is underperforming, you will want to know what, and why, to correct the long-term strategic vision.



About the role
This hands-on role requires attention to detail, great communication, and excellent time and project management skills. Day-to-day tasks include:

Direct client communication.

Working with our designer, developer, and copywriter to create marketing assets for your campaigns.

Using digital platforms such as HubSpot, G-Suite, Trello, Slack, SEMRush, and Canva to drive client success.

Full ownership of activities, timelines, and project delivery.

This role is a full-time permanent position based in our New Plymouth office. Working hours are 8 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday. We will consider remote candidates for this position.



Experience and qualifications
The ideal applicant will have the following experience and qualifications:

2+ years experience in a marketing role.

Project management or account management experience.

An eye for detail and design.

Experience on the HubSpot marketing platform or similar.


Skills and attributes
To be considered for this role you would need to be a positive and collaborative employee, with a desire to be part of a diverse team of professionals.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and willingly participate in client meetings, team initiatives, and proactively seek areas for improvement. Experience with HubSpot and other marketing platforms highly desired.

A high degree of accuracy and an organised approach with particular attention to time management is essential in this role.
