SE&S - Sector Enablement and Support
Our teams around the country work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, expertise and resources to help tamariki and rangitahi reach their full potential

About this role

The Business Support Manager leads the Business Support team across a range of operational functions to support the region. They are a key member of our region's leadership team. Reporting directly to the Director of Education, you will develop strong connections to staff across the region, as well as with staff in our National Office.

This position has responsibility for developing, leading and managing the performance and delivery of an administration and support services team of nine people that provide support across the region.

Key areas of focus include corporate service activities such as business planning and resource management, facilities management, and vehicle fleet management.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have a strong customer focus, with an ability to balance the needs and priorities of different groups and initiatives. A drive for results and achievement is necessary both in the operations of the region, as well as in identifying and progressively improving activities and services in the region, and nationwide in conjunction with our National Office.

You will also offer as follows:

Ability to build and grow a strong collaborative team that are based across the region
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to address complex situations calmly and effectively
Attention to detail and excellent time management and organisational skills
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a diverse group of contacts
