Boarding School – Hostel Supervisor
Permanent, part-time (minimum of 20 hours per week)
We have a vacancy available within our team for a Hostel Supervisor at Scotlands Hostel, our home away from home for boarders who attend NPGHS.
The role is term time only, with a minimum of 20 hours per week, and may include some weekends and/or an overnight sleepover shift.
The Supervisor role consists of supervising the daily routines of all girls, medical and general needs, approval of hostel leaves via the Orah application, transporting students locally in the hostel van, recreation/weekend activities, pastoral care, supervising prep time, basic cleaning and dealing with minor discipline problems.
Our ideal candidate will bring the following skills and attributes:
· A genuine interest in working with young people
· A warm and approachable personality, with a fair but firm manner
· Experience of working with teenagers
· A full driver’s licence
· A willingness to collaborate with other staff
· An interest in planning activities for our students
· Initiative and a helpful attitude
