Based in Taranaki, we have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager to join our close-knit team and deliver the Good work Fulton Hogan is known for.

In this role you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders working across three of our major contracts where you will understand the scope of work to deliver strategies and develop the forward work maintenance programmes for our clients within the prescribed budget and time frame.

You will be a passionate professional who has high attention to technical detail, while still being able to see 'the bigger picture'.

As such this role is responsible for:

Assist with the delivery of asset management strategies and programs
Financial Planning and Asset Repair and Maintenance budget control for the region
Contract Management
Monitor the road network conditions and provide reporting
Assist in the development of the Maintenance Intervention strategies
Assist with treatment selection and data collection for design
Carry out inventory data collection for Contracts support
Provide value to our customers
This position will require some travel across the region and the occasional work away from home.

The successful candidate might come from a diverse background in engineering, maintenance or project management. Other experience and attributes include;

Engineering Diploma or similar, desirable but not essential
Experience in road maintenance, drainage, pavement, surfacing or construction
Strong technical interest in Asset Management and computer based tools
Experience implementing performance improvement initiatives
Strong financial skills and budgeting experience
Proactive, organised and hands on approach with the ability to work well as a team and on own initiative
Proven ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Strong focus on continuous improvement
