We are looking for an experienced Asset Integrity Facility Inspector to support our busy Engineering and Projects team for all plant and equipment reliability and maintenance needs.
You’ll have sound knowledge of operations, permits, maintenance and asset integrity principles. You will offer experience in plant optimisation or equipment effectiveness initiatives such as risk-based inspection (RBI) be familiar with defect management systems and quality management principles. You like the idea of working in a dynamic team where you can shoulder your own responsibilities taking ownership of your work, and regularly using your high level of initiative to provide solutions.

Our Location
Our McKee Mangahewa and Kapuni Production Stations are located a short drive from our New Plymouth office. This role will be site based at our Kapuni Production Station or the McKee Mangahewa Production Station.
The Role
You will be responsible for providing asset integrity support and confidence to the production operations and engineering teams that site equipment remains in a safe and reliable condition. This role will carry out the inspection of pressure equipment and tanks to ensure risks associated with potential equipment failures are within tolerable levels, alongside ensuring all asset integrity inspections are undertaken through routine maintenance and planned shutdowns.
Suitable applicants must have:
Pressure equipment inspection qualifications and 5 years’ experience inspecting equipment such as pressure vessels, piping, tanks, atmospheric assets, pipelines and tanks within the oil and gas sector.
Knowledgeable in assessment tools such as NDT, radiography, vibration analysis, thermography, borescope, direct visual inspection.
Knowledgeable in performance management tools such as RCM, and RBI.
Knowledgeable in the field of pressure vessels, piping, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, etc.
Knowledgeable in pressure equipment regulatory codes
Sound computer literacy and ability to recite and interpret inspection data to non-technical people
Ability to interface well with colleagues and members of the wider Production Operations group as well as with contractors and external service providers.
Ability to influence others through sound technical reasoning.
Ability to create and sustain a reliability mind set in the organisation.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong communications ability, including ability to communicate complex issues.
Motivated, self-starting, independent individual with high level of initiative.
Ability to set priorities on competing issues according to value to business.
Good organisational and time management skills
