An opportunity exists to join us at an Agribusiness Partner, managing a portfolio of medium- large scale Agri customers. You'll partner with our clients to understand their banking needs and to provide appropriate solutions. We spoke with the Senior Partner that you'd report to, and here's what he had to say about the role:

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

Manage a portfolio of Agribusiness clients, with the purpose of growing business through both existing and new clients
Working collaboratively with your local team to ensure strong portfolio management, proactively managing client needs and delivering constructive outcomes
Promoting and delivering a range of customised financial solutions, incorporating Bank products and services to meet customer needs
Contribute and manage business submissions, which help to meet customer needs effectively and efficiently, whilst demonstrating prudent risk management
Maintain a strong awareness of industry trends and competitor strategies, develop a robust professional network, and demonstrate a proactive role in the rural community
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?

The market is competitive and commercially orientated, and consequently the role requires the Partner to have a strong understanding of industry trends, understand the value of networking and connecting people and what is means to create success both for the business and the client. Essential to this role is:

Someone from a rural background and genuine affinity to rural New Zealand, as well as a strong awareness of industry trends
A passion for Agribusiness banking, sound understanding of lending principles, financial statements and risk management
Can demonstrate their previous success in a relationship management positions, and where they have grown
Your ability to make an informed opinion and articulate that opinion on financial statements
Agribusiness Degree preferred, however Business degree considered if you have a rural background
You'll be an energetic and positive contributor, who can bring a "can do - let's make it happen" attitude
