For those slightly more adventurous at heart, this is a scenic trip with exciting grade 2 rapids. It is very safe, yet a lot of fun, no experience needed.
The lower part of the Waitara River is very safe and an ideal introduction to the thrill of white water paddling. It is a scenic grade 2 paddle, winding it's way through native bush, cliff faces, farm land and under the historic Bertrand Road Suspension Bridge. Enjoy fresh water swimming, exhilarating rapids, exciting games and refreshing snacks. Receive helpful skills from the friendly experienced and qualified instructors and learn the cultural and historical significance of the river and surrounding area. You can even try sliding down a bank in your kayak.
