About the role

WITT has an opportunity on a fixed-term, part-time basis for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our team in New Plymouth.

As a Tutor, you will be using your extensive practical experience and knowledge to deliver expert guidance and hands-on training to apprentices.

What you'll be doing

Delivering BCITO block courses as below:

07 Jul – 11 Jul (40 hours per course)

WB3568 WBL Painting and Decorating BCITO Short Course 1A Painting Level 4

18 Aug – 29 Aug (80 hours per course)

WB3568 WBL Painting and Decorating BCITO Short Course 2A Painting Level 4

01 Sep – 10 Sep (64 hours per course)

WB3568 WBL Painting and Decorating BCITO Short Course 3A Painting Level 4

Additional hours for induction, training and health and safety will be provided.

What we're looking for

Significant experience in the painting and decorating trade, with a strong understanding of the latest techniques and industry standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of learners

Relevant qualifications in painting and decorating, or a related field

Competent digital skills

Previous academic experience would be an advantage but is not required. We will fully support you if you don't have any prior teaching experience.
