We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to be based in our Taranaki office to oversee financial planning and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial data. This is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2026.
The ideal candidate will analyse financial performance, guide strategic decisions, and support cost control initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of our well-established business as we undertake an ERP upgrade, guided by an experienced team of Fulton Hogan staff and change management experts.
In addition to the above you will:
Support engineers and managers in commercial aspects of contract and financial management
Work with the operational team in evaluating capital expenditure proposals
Work with manufacturing teams on production planning, inventory management and day-to-day analysis and reporting
Add value by providing relevant data analysis and interpretation training to engineers and management
Support the transactional staff (AP & AR) in delivering their day-to-day responsibilities
Work on projects with the finance manager or other accountants to improve the financial performance of the region
Align all work to the company's health, safety and environmental policies

We're looking for someone with:
Appropriate tertiary qualification
CA/CPA designation (or working towards) preferred but not essential
Experience in or knowledge of the contracting business or manufacturing is preferred but not essential
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat & Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
A high level of initiative and ability to work independently without requiring direct supervision
