As we embark on our latest project to design and build 120 to 220 square metre homes, we are seeking a talented Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) designer to join our team.

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced LBP designer to lead the design and construction of our residential homes in Taranaki. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential design and construction, with a focus on delivering innovative and functional solutions that meet the needs of homeowners while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the project team to develop design concepts, floor plans, and elevations for 160 to 220 square meter homes.
Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and documentation for building consent approval.
Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards throughout the design process.
Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to coordinate project requirements and approvals.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the construction team during the building phase, ensuring that design specifications are implemented accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) qualification in Design (Residential) Design 1 and 2 or equivalent.
Proven experience in residential design and construction, preferably with a focus on single-family homes.
Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
