Te āheinga - The opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our planning team as an Intermediate Planner. In this role, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of planning policies and regulations, providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders, and contributing to the strategic planning objectives of NPDC.

Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities:

- Processing RMA and related applications
- Providing RMA expertise
- Applicable financial management
- Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation

Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako - Essential skills and experience:

- A tertiary qualification related to resource management or land use planning
- Practical experience and competency in Resource Management legislative processes
- A general knowledge of other Local Government legislation and consent processes
- Awareness of the Local Government political environment.
- Computer literacy
- A driver's licence
- District Plan administration work within a Local Government environment
- Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Understand and interpret plans
