Egmont Seafoods are on the lookout for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Fish Processor. This is a 40 hour a week factory based role and although experience in seafood processing is an advantage it’s not a necessity to be a successful candidate. Based in New Plymouth this is your chance to be part of New Zealand’s world-renowned seafood industry.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Processing, filleting and trimming inshore fish species such as Gurnard, Snapper, Tarakihi, School Shark & Rig.

Packing fish for domestic market and export orders

Loading product in to chillers & freezers

Maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus)

Working efficiently in a cold and wet environment as part of a close-knit team

What We’re Looking For:

Physically fit – able to lift up to 20kg and handle repetitive tasks

Motivated person wanting to work and contribute positively to a team environment

Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic

Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious

Experience in seafood processing or food manufacturing is an advantage, but full training is provided
