Environmental Educator - Full-time, Permanent Position
Based in Taranaki, 12km east of Eltham, Taranaki

Rotokare Scenic Reserve Trust is a community-led, conservation-based project in Taranaki. We are looking for an innovative and passionate Environmental Educator. You’ll be leading volunteers to deliver an award-winning education programme to early childhood, schools, the community, and beyond. You will also be leading community engagement initiatives such as public presentations, guided tours, website and social media, and various publications.
If you have the following attributes, we are keen to hear from you:
Expertise in delivering outstanding environmental education & inspiration
Comfortable liaising with teachers and community groups
Cultural competence
Excellent written and verbal science communication
Adaptable and flexible
A great team player
A full driver license
Understanding of health & safety as it relates to working with visitors & volunteers.
Previous experience managing captive lizards is desirable, although not essential
A clean criminal record check is essential for this position
