Our regional office in New Plymouth supports the Maari Field operation and we are currently recruiting for Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians.



Electrical and Instrument Technician


Key responsibilities include:

Conducting maintenance on the facility's electrical, IT, fire and gas, communications and instrumentation equipment within compliance of all applicable codes, regulations and standards
Maintaining hazardous area electrical equipment compliance through inspection and repairs
Maintaining control systems
Conducting fault finding and diagnostics of problems affecting plant and equipment
Conducting HV switching
Key skills and experience required:

8 years maintenance experience (minimum 3 offshore) in the maintenance and operation of electrical, electronic and instrumentation equipment in an offshore, marine petrochemical or hydrocarbon environment
NZ Registered Electrician
Trade qualification, National Cert in Industrial Measurement & Control (level 4) or equivalent
Qualified in and experience of HV switching
Desirable:

Advanced trade (level 5) Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
Electrical inspector
Control System engineering and maintenance experience
Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas Level 4 qualification
