Our client, a well-established and local Taranaki Civil Construction company based in Hawera are looking to expand their team with a TEAM & PROJECT Lead. This company covers everything in the civil industry such as Ground/Earth works, Drainage, Site Prep, Effluent systems and Roading in Taranaki and Whanganui.
The main purpose of the Team and Project Lead role within this company is to provide support in team management, training and project management. This role is best suited to someone with a Civil Construction Experience and Team Management.

What this role involves:
Training of new and existing staff
Assistance with new and upcoming project planning
Ensure smooth operation of construction sites
Physical Labour required for all aspects of role
Operate Heavy Machinery (with relevant licenses if available)
Site preparation
Follow and provide guidance on all Health & Safety Requirements
Travel within Taranaki and Whanganui Sites


To be suitable for this this role you must:
Proven Civil Construction experience
Proven Team Leader experience
Experience in Concrete Construction preferred
Hard-working attitude
Strong Time-Management Skills
Have a clear understanding of civil construction drawings, processes, and techniques.
Clean, Full License with reliable transport to the Hawera yard
Strong Health and Safety awareness
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labour tasks in various weather conditions.
Ability to lift heavy objects and operate hand tools safely.



This role is best suited to someone who has a can-do attitude and confident ability to lead their team and projects. A strong background in Civil Construction is mandatory to ensure the role requirements can be met. You must have the ability to adhere to the companies values, procedures and Health and Safety requirements while also ensuring great customer service and respect.
