Reporting to our Head of Operations the Asset Management Lead will play a vital role in keeping our assets operating smoothly across our dynamic, high-growth business.
Purpose of Position:
The Asset Management Lead at Hiringa Energy is accountable for the maintenance, integrity, reliability, and compliance management of the company's operated assets.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role is crucial for the safe and reliable operation of hydrogen production, storage, and refuelling facilities. Responsibilities include managing asset performance, developing and overseeing asset management plans, supporting the wider operations team, coordinating maintenance activities with contractors and vendors, and assisting with the commissioning and handover of new assets.
The role involves both site work and strategic asset management, and requires travel across the North Island.
Role Specifications:
Maintenance and Production:
Continuing to build and implement the maintenance program and CMMS system for current and future assets coming online.
Managing the reliability and availability of the assets and providing input to proactive monitoring and reporting.
Troubleshooting and resolving production or equipment issues, bringing in Hiringa staff or third-party contractors where necessary and effectively supervising these resources to complete required activities.
Supporting the Operations team to monitor and report on activity plans, objectives and key performance indicators, in relation to asset maintenance & integrity. Providing input into reporting of HSEQ and key stakeholder management.
Support daily production of Hiringa’s assets across NZ, including monitoring of production trends, performance and forecasting in order to support operations and production.
Manage key vendor relationships to ensure the effective delivery of key operations activities and deliverables.
Coordinating and overseeing third-party contractors such as engineering, consultants and specialists during maintenance activities.
Asset status and reporting for senior management, partners, and key stakeholders.
Plays an active role in the emergency response team in both real-world situations and scenario-based exercises.
A bit about you:
You will have a minimum of 10 years (+) experience in an operational environment, with a background in maintenance, construction, production or commissioning management.
An engineering qualification is a bonus.
You will be happy to get hands-on with our assets and be available to travel to site as required.
You will use your excellent leadership skills to lead a growing team of Operations and Maintenance Technicians and supervise contractors and suppliers.
You will have familiarity and experience working with maintenance and reliability systems.
Ideally you would have spent time in a complex production facility.
Other Skills:
Comfortable and confident operating in a high growth environment where adaptability and flexibility required.
Confident working with multiple internal and external stakeholders across various levels of seniority.
Excellent written & oral communication skills including the ability to present and facilitate confidently.
Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Self-starter able to work with minimum direction on multiple tasks and to meet deadlines.
