Te āheinga - The opportunity

NPDC is a renowned organization dedicated to hosting premier cultural, sporting, and recreational events. Our commitment to excellence and innovation has made us a leader in the industry. Due to an internal promotion, we are now seeking a motivated and experienced Venue Operations Specialist to join our Venues and Events team.

As a Venue Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting our Venue Leads to ensure that all events are staged to the highest standards. You will oversee the operational aspects of our venues, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional experiences for all attendees.

Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities:

Event Planning: to successfully deliver clients event requirements whilst providing sound direction and information to get the best possible outcome for all
Assist with the operation of venues and equipment to ensure a safe and secure environment and to meet customer expectations and contractual requirements
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
To be 2IC of the venue if Lead is absent
Rostering event requirements to ensure that each event is covered - while working directly with the Senior Events and Operations Coordinator to ensure that all events at all venues are adequately covered
To hand over detailed event plans to operations officers to deliver. (run sheets, maps, floor plans etc)
Oversee venues maintenance to ensure the venue is presented to a high standard
Any other duties as determined or required by the business

Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako - Essential skills and experience:

Experience in venue operations would be an advantage
Full driver's licence
Some knowledge of Excel and Word
Experience in Health and Safety in venues would be an advantage
