Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Truck Dismantler to join our team. This role involves dismantling trucks and tractors, organising inventory, loading and unloading parts, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a mechanical role (ideally but not essential), a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. All training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in dismantling trucks and tractors for parts recovery.
Sort, organize, and store parts efficiently in the yard and warehouse.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move heavy parts (training can be provided).
Load and unload trucks, ensuring all parts are handled with care.
Keep the yard clean, safe, and organised at all times.
Assist customers in locating and retrieving parts when needed.
Perform basic maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment.
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
Requirements:
Prior experience in a dismantling yard, auto salvage, or mechanical environment is a plus but not required.
Ability to perform physical labour.
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools.
Forklift experience or certification is a plus (training can be provided if you don't have this).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable and punctual with a positive work attitude.
Background as a mechanic is a plus, but not a requirement.
